Features to know about

Built for Jeeps, Broncos, Trucks, and Trailers

power mountain in use

With a 6-ton rating, this jack is made for off-road rigs like Jeeps, Broncos, and lifted trucks. Its adjustable range from 8-1/2" to 37-3/4" means it'll slide under an axle when you've got a flat and still reach the frame when you need extra height. The included extensions attach to add extra clearance, so you don't have to carry around blocks and stack them to get the jack where it needs to be.

Stable and Secure on Rough Ground

power mountain jacked up

When you're off-roading, a breakdown can happen anywhere. But when the trail or shoulder isn't level, the oversized base plate helps the jack stay planted and secure. You can use the swappable saddles to lift from the axle or the frame, depending on what's safest. And if you want additional stability, a jack pad (like the Outrigger Pad or StakPad) can add another layer of support. The handle extension gives you reach when the space is tight, which helps when you're struggling to work the release.

Keep All the Pieces Together

power mountain carry bag

When the job's done, all the parts pack into the carry bag. It doesn't take up much room, plus you're not digging through a toolbox to find what you need. You can take it with you on every trip and know you're prepared for flats and other repairs.

I love it!
I had a chance to become
familiar with it this afternoon, and actually use it under my F250. My truck’s tires are bigger and the chassis sits higher than normal. Because of my airbags I had to research the places where the Tallboy will work best in the event of getting a flat tire. It is so easy to set it up that I’ll give it a 5-Star rating.

Thanks for the awesome review Edgar! I really like how you tried it out before having an emergency situation, no one likes learning a new product while in a stressful situation. I hope you have a wonderful Holiday Season filled with your most favorite people =)

by:

Haven’t used it yet but looks like good quality and the storage and carrying bag is handy. When I checked it out be sure and read the part about bleeding air out of the jack for smooth operation.

by:

If you have a winch and recovery gear, then you're missing this, period!

The number of times used this to get diff off lodged ledge after dropping off a sketchy rock with wheels in air, and the times I rescued fellow wheelers on group trips are countless.

It packs compact, smaller than my tool box, and the most used rescue device in my trail gear!

Sounds like you're the perfect person to have around when out on the trails, Steve! I'm glad that the jack has come in handy in so many situations.

by:

I have not had the opportunity to use the jack yet. (My trailer is in winter storage!) However, my first impression is that this kit is extremely well built. The gauge of all the metal extensions is significantly greater than I expected. Finish of all surfaces is excellent. The heavy duty carrying case keeps everything in one place.

by:

I bought this for my 5th wheel because the frame is high off the ground and it will help take pressure off the slide arms if I have to work on them. I have yet to use it, but it was delivered promptly. Although the box was falling apart on one side, the bag, bottle jack and accessories within were fine. The bag wasn't ripped like some others have said. Probably because the base wasn't sharp like others reported. Power Mountain must have gone the extra mile and fixed that issue on them. All the pieces were there and fit together perfectly. I even tested the hydraulic system and it had no issues and didn't need to be bled, nor did it require more hydraulic fluid. All in all I gave it 5 stars because nothing is wrong with it yet. Time will tell, but it seems like it will hold up. I would suggest you take a picture on the side of the box on how the attachments go together to make different heights, because it's not in the manual.

by:

This is a quality jack with quality accessories. The carrying bag is heavy duty and decent to look at. I is a nice addition to my new Nissan 4x4. The shipping and packaging was outstanding. Quick delivery and double boxed. Could not be better.

by:

Found a use for the jack right away. Assembled to achieve an appropriate height
to raise the stearn of by boat off the trailer so I could change out the bunk boards. Employed a 4x4x16 inch block of wood in conjunction with the U-channel from the kit to rest the boat on. Worked great - helped simplify the project. Found one issue - though not significant the jack handle slots that join the valve pin on the jack is not a very good fit. Had difficulty keeping both jack handle slots engaged with pin. Either the cross pin on the jack stem needs to be longer and/or the jack handle pipe 'inside diameter' smaller to allow better engagement with the jack valve stem. To me it's a quality issue and is something I'll rework. Other than that I'm satified with the purchase!

by:

A longer handle would have earned five stars….lifted my ‘93 ZJ’s 31x10.5s easily from both the frame and the axle, but having one more extension for the handle would be great when lifting from the axle. Could stay out from under it during lifting. Still a great and very versatile jack!

by:

Jack delivered on time for my RV trip. Very reliable!! À year ago I was stuck in Fairbanks with a broken rear end suspension and because of ETrailer I was able to go to Prudhoe Bay and Tocktuyactuck.., Thank you for your excellent service and happy holidays to all of you.

by:

I haven’t had a chance to use it yet, but from what I can tell from the quality I believe it will be perfect for lifting a trailer or 4x4 to change a tire without blocking up a hydraulic jack.

by:

eTrailer is awesome. Bottle jack arrived earlier than originally stated, so had an extra day to put some work in. Love the service, absolutely recommend

by:

I received the jack in just a couple days. It was in a plain brown cardboard box. It arrived in good shape.
As I opened the brown box, inside was the color retail box.
Inside the box was the heavy duty carrying bag. To my surprise, inside the bag, the jack was doulble plastic wrapped and in perfect shape. All the parts were inside the bag in foam cutout "boxes". The parts were all inside the 2 foam boxes, secured by 3 elastic straps. I was very impressed.
I removed the parts and tried the jack. Everything works perfectly and are nicely machined, no sharp edges or ragged edges.
I would surely recommend this jack to anyone looking for a great jack.
I will be using it for my 5th wheel when traveling. It looks very promising and very well made.

by:

Fits just right under the axle on my RV and extends to reach the gearbox on my old tractor in case I need to lift it. 6 ton is more than enough but I like the large base plate that stabilizes it for a safer lift. Packaging and storage bag is a big plus also.

by:

Its ok there are two items that would make the jack better not to mention safety. The current handle is shorter than it should. The hydraulic valve on the unit I received leaks by. Im able to work through the issue but should consider a better design.

by:

Excellent quality adapters and fit nice and snug, as otheres have stated the jack handle needs a centering bushing for the lowering screw/pin to keep it engaged evenly, other than that it has an excellent adapter storage foam box to keep everything in place

by:

Excellent Jack! Made changing leaf springs on my 36’ fifth wheel much much easier. Previously just used one bottle Jack and stands. I was unable to lift the frame rail to relieve all the tension on the axle. I’ll be traveling with this Jack for emergencies from now on!

by:

Bought this to use/change tires on my fifth wheel. The U shaped attachment works great for jacking up on the axle which is my trailer’s jack point. Big, solid base makes for a very stable lift. A little more expensive than some of the other bottle jacks out there but with the added functionality, well worth it.

by:

I purchased this setup after watching a video etrailer.com sponsored on the Our Next Adventure YouTube channel. Shout out to Jarret and Natalie! Thanks for your content guys! My wife and I are about to head out on our longest RV trip to date and I’m just looking for ways to be fully prepared for any scenario that we may encounter. I have an F250 and the stock jack is less than ideal. This jack system is perfect because I can extend it to my frame or axles and feel safe because of the much larger base plate under the bottle jack. This unit will also lift my Venture Stratus 221VRK no problem. I was going to haul my Harbor Freight jack but that thing is large and heavy. This whole thing, bag and all, fits under the back seat of my truck perfectly! Excellent solution that I would not have been aware of if I had not watched Jarret’s video!

by:

Excellent jack. Easily adjustable so can be short or very tall. Very stable with the wide base. Should have gotten one a long time ago. Comes in a nice carry bag too. Will be going with me everywhere. Fast shipping also.

by:

Haven't had the opportunity to test it yet, but was well packaged to the point of almost overpacked with the foam blocks holding all the risers and the handle. It is odd the handle is packaged between both of the foam storage blocks rather than in just one. I would prefer the bag have interior sleeves to store the risers rather than dealing with all the velcro and foam, but i'm sure this will be less noisy. Bag seems fairly robust, though the corners aren't particularly reinforced. So time will only tell how long it will last. Overall I'd say I'm happy with the cost in comparison to a comparable product.

by:

Although I haven’t had the chance to use the jack yet, the quality of the product is top notch. And the customer service and quick delivery was great. And of course anytime you can get free shipping that’s always a bonus. This jack will be perfect for my son’s lifted truck. And the price compared to other jacks I have looked at was half the price.

by:

I have not had occasion to use it yet but the product looks great! I had a flat on our trailer late this summer on a remote highway and my standard bottle jack was not up to the task. With blocks I was able to make it work. This is a much more sturdy design and with all the extensions, I don't worry about raising my trailer or my jeep.

by:

Power Mountain Tallboy Bottle Jack is awesome! Very weel made and will last a lifetime! The carrying bag is great as well! Very sturdy! Fast shipping.

by:

Nice Jack with a Big Foot for a heavy trailer also has a cup to grab the axle of the frame it is a bottle jack but with the added attachments it's really terrific

by:

Everything was in the package. The way it came is good. The protection on the parts in plastic foam is great. The only thing wrong with the kit is the the pump handle is extremely loose on the jack when turning the hydraulic on or off. Very bad fit up. That should be corrected. Other than that it works as described and seams to be a very good hydraulic jack.

Hey Brad, unlike vehicles trailer replacement parts aren't organized as well like by VIN or model info like you mentioned.
